The fascinating and energetic lifetime of Ernestine Butler got here to an in depth on Dec. 29, after 92 years of dedication to God, household and neighborhood.
A celebration of her lengthy life can be held on Friday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m., at Angelus Funeral Residence, 3875 Crenshaw Blvd., in Los Angeles.
A local of New Orleans, Ernestine was well-known for her devoted involvement in neighborhood affairs. She was a longtime member of the NAACP, the New Frontier Democratic Membership, and the Crimson Hatters Social Membership.
As well as, Ernestine was a frequent contributor to the Mayme A. Clayton Library and Museum and served on the organizing committee of the LaLa -Louisiana to Los Angeles – Membership the place she assisted with producing the annual LaLa Pageant.
