Zimbabwe donates ARVs to Botswana to boost HIV response

The federal government of Zimbabwe has offered the Republic of Botswana with Anti-Retroviral medication (ARVs).

This help comes at a time when Botswana is experiencing medicine-supply points, together with for HIV-related commodities.

Zimbabwe supplies ARVs to Botswana

Zimbabwe’s Ministry of International Affairs confirmed that they’ve supported Botswana via a consignment of ARVs, with 80% within the type of a mortgage and 20% being a donation.

The handover was collectively witnessed by Director for Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Mr. Spencer Mqabuko Dube; Mrs. Sarah S. Molosiwa, Ambassador of Botswana to Zimbabwe; and NatPharm Managing Director, Mr. Newman Madzikwa.

“The officers oversaw the loading of the consignment earlier than its departure for Botswana,” the Ministry of International affairs posted on X.

“Such humanitarian efforts are integral to Zimbabwe’s broader strategic aims of shared prosperity, reinforcing bilateral cooperation and advancing regional well being safety.”

A struggle towards HIV in Botswana
