A 20-year-old scholar, recognized as Phoenix Ikner, has been accused of being the gunman behind the Florida State College taking pictures that resulted in two deaths and 6 accidents.
Ikner, believed to be a scholar at FSU, is the son of a deputy who served the Leon County Sheriff’s Workplace for over 18 years.
He was carrying a handgun that was once a service weapon for the sheriff’s workplace, which his mom had bought.
Sheriff Walter McNeil advised reporters that the suspect was “steeped within the Leon County Sheriff’s Workplace household and engaged in quite a few coaching applications that we’ve got, so it’s not a shock to us that he had entry to weapons.”
Ikner’s motive for the taking pictures stays unknown as he’s presently hospitalized and never talking.
Previous to attending FSU, Ikner was enrolled at Tallahassee State Faculty and reportedly a registered Republican, based on Florida voter registration data.
