UN vote to end Mali peacekeeping mission in June

A vote by the Safety Council to finish a UN peacekeeping mission in Mali, at Mali’s personal request, was postponed to later this week attributable to ongoing talks, diplomatic sources stated Tuesday.

Mali’s Overseas Minister Abdoulaye Diop took the world unexpectedly on June 16 when he requested the UN to withdraw its Minusma peacekeeping drive instantly.
