Uche Ojeh, Sheinelle Jones’ Husband, Has Died Of Brain Cancer

Uche Ojeh was 45 years previous.

The husband of NBC “At present” co-anchor Sheinelle Jones has died. Uche Ojeh died after battling an aggressive and chronic type of mind most cancers at 45, in accordance with NBC’s Might 23 morning present report.

“At present” co-host Savannah Guthrie reported, “With profound unhappiness, we share this morning that Uche Ojeh, the husband of our good friend and At present co-host Sheinelle Jones, has handed away after a brave battle with an aggressive type of mind most cancers referred to as glioblastoma. There aren’t any phrases for the ache we really feel for Sheinelle and their three younger youngsters. Uche was an unbelievable individual. All of us liked him. And so we need to take a second to let you know extra in regards to the outstanding man who was Sheinelle’s excellent associate in life.”

On the time of his loss of life, Ojeh was 45, and he’s survived by Jones and the three youngsters they share. 

Fellow “At present” co-anchor Craig Melvin shared his condolences and recalled enjoying golf with Ojeh simply final fall. 

“We had quite a lot of conversations about simply life on the whole,” Melvin expressed. “And one factor he at all times talked about, he talked about these children. He liked these children greater than anything on this world, and was simply so proud. He was the dad that was on the sidelines each soccer sport. He was in any respect the live shows and the recitals. He was that man.”

Jones has been on an prolonged go away of absence from her function on the NBC morning present because the finish of final yr to cope with what she described as a “household well being matter.”

She has been part of the “At present” present household for over a decade after becoming a member of again in 2014 to work alongside Dylan Dreyer and Craig Melvin beneath NBC Information. 

Jones and Ojeh married in 2007, after the pair met at Northwestern College. Ojeh proposed to Jones on the college campus.
