U.S. military to use Trinidad and Tobago airports amid Venezuela tensions

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (AP) — The federal government of Trinidad and Tobago mentioned Dec. 15 that it will permit the U.S. navy to entry its airports in coming weeks as tensions construct between the US and Venezuela.

The announcement comes after the U.S. navy just lately put in a radar system on the airport in Tobago. The Caribbean nation’s authorities has mentioned the radar is getting used to struggle native crime, and that the small nation wouldn’t be used as a launchpad to assault another nation.
