Tyler Perry’s Firefighter Series Coming to Netflix

*Filming is underway in Atlanta for Netflix’s upcoming firefighter drama, “Tyler Perry’s The place There’s Smoke.” Produced, written, and directed by Tyler Perry, the 16-episode collection marks the streaming platform’s first main entry into authentic firefighter storytelling.

In keeping with Netflix life, the present dives into the lives of a firehouse workforce, monitoring their harmful emergency calls alongside the non-public struggles, romances, and relationships that form their lives off the clock. Netflix’s official synopsis emphasizes the depth of their work and private challenges, stating the collection “follows the lives of a gaggle of firefighters as they navigate the extraordinary challenges of their high-stakes occupation whereas grappling with private struggles, fractured relationships, and the emotional toll of saving lives in a world stuffed with hazard, drama, and heartbreak.”

Netflix additionally revealed the primary forged, together with Tyler Lepley as Owen, Mike Merrill as Cameron, Da’Vinchi as Noah, Eltony Williams as Jermaine, Brock O’Hurn as Ethan, Joe Hunter as Chief Bailey, Karen Obilom as Laura, Brittany S. Corridor as Angela, Mariah Goodie as Rhonda, Jordan Rodriguez as Brent, and Judi Moon as Darcy.

Whereas Netflix has not introduced an official launch date, the present is anticipated no sooner than fall 2026. The season could also be cut up into two eight-episode elements.

“The place There’s Smoke” is a part of Perry’s multi-year first-look cope with the streaming big. The collection goals to ship a gripping, character-driven collection that appeals to followers of each intense drama and the human aspect of life-saving work.
