Nationwide — Trevius Warren, a 30-year-old man, and a 17-year-old teen have been arrested after a site visitors cease turned violent in South Carolina. Police reportedly stopped Warren’s automobile for operating a pink mild, and the teenager tried to struggle deputies and seize a gun.
In accordance with the Richland County Sheriff’s Division (RCSD), a deputy stopped Warren’s black Chevrolet Malibu round 2 a.m. on November 27 for operating a pink mild. Through the cease, the deputy observed the 17-year-old passenger reaching into his waistband, prompting a seek for weapons, as reported by WISTV.
As deputies tried to go looking the teenager who was then handcuffed, he fought again. He hit one officer within the face and induced minor accidents. Within the battle, the teenager managed to seize a gun from his waistband, which led to a struggle over the weapon.
Further deputies arrived and secured the gun, which was later discovered to have two completely different stolen serial numbers. Each weapons discovered throughout the incident have been reported stolen from Newport Information Police Division in Virginia.
The teenager faces costs of assault, possession of a stolen firearm, and easy possession of marijuana. Warren was charged with possession of a schedule I managed substance and brought to jail. Each suspects have been booked into separate detention facilities.
In the meantime, the deputy who was assaulted was handled for minor accidents on the scene.
