*Keyshia Cole followers rejoice! Your lady has launched the trailer for her upcoming “Keyshia Cole: That is My Story” biopic on Lifetime.

Cole, a a number of Grammy® award nominee (Keyshia Cole: The Approach It Is) will government produce and make her performing debut, enjoying herself, within the new Lifetime biopic that follows her early days in Oakland honing her musical skills to her rise to a multi-platinum promoting recording artist and tv character, to her sophisticated but warmhearted relationship together with her mom Frankie Lons performed by Debbi Morgan (All My Kids).

Premiering Saturday, June 24 as a part of Lifetime’s celebration of Black Music Month at 8p/7c, “Keyshia Cole: That is My Story” is directed by D’Angela Proctor (Line Sisters) and Manu Boyer (Lady within the Basement) and contains a new track recorded by the singer/songwriter titled “Eternally is a Factor.” Ron Honest, Keyshia Cole’s longstanding A&R and music collaborator supervised the music and Grammy Award winner Warryn Campbell composed the unique rating.

“This can be a story of a daughter’s love for her mom, and though my coronary heart stays damaged from her premature passing, I’m honored to be sharing it with the world,” Cole stated in a press launch. “Taking part in the position of myself was a singular alternative to re-live particular moments in my life that additionally gave me the possibility to course of her loss in methods I didn’t anticipate. I miss her every single day, and regardless that she shouldn’t be right here, her presence was felt all through this movie. Mother, I like you.”

“Keyshia Cole: That is My Story” is a story of childhood trauma, tragedy, the complexity of affection, and overcoming obstacles to turn out to be the very best model of oneself. The film is devoted to the consideration and reminiscence of her mom, Frankie.

“Keyshia Cole: This Is My Story” joins Lifetime’s roster of extremely profitable musical biopics together with “Robin Roberts Presents: Mahalia, Patsy & Loretta,” “The Clark Sisters: First Women of Gospel,” “Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Coronary heart,” “Whitney” and “Life is Not a Fairytale: The Fantasia Barrino Story.”
