Sad birthday for Reeva Steenkamp’s mom after husband’s death

Reeva Steenkamp’s mom, June celebrated her birthday with a damaged coronary heart following the demise and burial of her husband, Barry.

Earlier this month, the 80-year-old father of the slain mannequin died in his sleep. His demise got here only one month after the couple celebrated what would have been their daughter’s fortieth birthday.

A decade in the past, Reeva was shot and killed by her boyfriend, Oscar Pistorius, after he allegedly mistook her for an intruder in his Pretoria residence. He’s presently looking for parole amid his homicide sentence.

REEVA STEENKAMP’S MOM CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY AFTER HUSBAND’S FUNERAL

June’s birthday was introduced in a Fb put up by the Reeva Steenkamp’s gender-based violence basis on Tuesday, 26 September.

In the meantime, Oscar Pistorius is continuous his quest for an early launch after his parole bid was denied in March 2023

Pistorius was sentenced to 13 years and 5 months for the homicide of Reeva Steenkamp on 14 February 2013. He has served half of his sentence, which, beneath South African regulation, makes him eligible for parole.

After being denied parole, Pistorius has taken his parole bid to the nation’s highest court docket: the Constitutional Courtroom.
