President of Black Farmers Association Calls Trump’s $12 Billion Payout a “Lie”

Nationwide — John Boyd Jr., President of the Nationwide Black Farmers Affiliation, says African American farmers haven’t obtained any of the $12 billion that President Trump claimed was distributed. He criticized repeated delays and mentioned Black farmers had been excluded from key coverage conferences.

Boyd spoke on MS NOW, addressing what he referred to as a sequence of false statements from Trump. He pushed again on the previous president’s declare in Iowa that $12 billion in assist had already reached farmers.

“That may be a lie! The cash has not been paid out, not $0.01 of it,” Boyd mentioned, in line with EurWeb. “And I only recently acquired an e-mail, I believe, Friday that mentioned that enroll interval has now moved to April.”

He emphasised that promised supply dates have been repeatedly postponed, shifting from November via February with nothing delivered. Boyd mentioned the administration has confronted no penalties for the delays.

Past the payouts, Boyd highlighted being excluded from policymaking. He mentioned he was not invited to the White Home roundtable the place the $12 billion was introduced and identified that different Black leaders had been additionally excluded. “He had an all-white farm assembly with the all-white viewers that excluded Black farmers,” Boyd mentioned.

Boyd linked these exclusions to the rollback of DEI applications, arguing it alerts a transfer away from Black and small farmer points. “They mentioned, , we’re transferring away from DEI. We’re transferring away from the Black farmer concern, the small farmer concern,” Boyd defined.
