Over half of SA workers suffer from mental health issues

The South African Melancholy and Anxiousness Group (Sadag) launched the Working Life Survey, which reveals that 52% of surveyed employees have acquired psychological well being diagnoses.

The examine discovered that 32% of members have despair, 25% undergo from stress, 18% face generalised nervousness dysfunction, 13% expertise burnout, and 10% take care of trauma.

Sadag launches free on-line assist group

To assist affected employees, Sadag launched a free on-line assist group.

Sadag tasks supervisor Krystle Kemp acknowledged that “Our assist group creates a protected, caring area the place folks can converse overtly, share experiences, and obtain assist from others who perceive.”

She added that folks with despair, nervousness, or burnout usually really feel remoted, particularly when their households don’t perceive their struggles or count on them to “recover from it.”
