Over $50K raised for woman severely beaten while saving daughter from would-be kidnapper

Greater than $50,000 has been raised for a 35-year-old New York mom who was severely injured after she fought off a suspect trying to kidnap her 18-year-old daughter. In line with the New York Publish, the January 2024 incident occurred inside Adriana Alvarez’s Astoria condo constructing.

The suspect who tried to abduct Alvarez’s daughter was later recognized as George Vassiliou. He faces a slew of fees together with tried kidnapping, assault, weapon possession, illegal possession of noxious matter, harassment, and violating an order of safety, the New York Publish reported.

Police sources additionally mentioned Vassiliou, who’s being held on a $50,000 bail, had parked a rental automotive outdoors the victims’ condo, including {that a} bag with objects together with a rope, sleeping capsules, and tampons was retrieved from the automobile.
