Nigerian union demands justice after fatal Johannesburg shooting

The Nigerian Union South Africa (NUSA) has strongly condemned the deadly taking pictures of Emeka Clement Uzor, describing the incident as a brutal and deeply disturbing act that has shaken the Nigerian group in Gauteng.

In a media assertion issued on 9 February 2026, NUSA mentioned it was “profoundly disturbed and outraged” by the killing of Uzor, a Nigerian nationwide who was shot on Sunday afternoon whereas seated in his car in Windsor East, Johannesburg.

In response to the union, Uzor was allegedly shot a number of instances in what it described as an “assassination-style” assault.
