Malema urges Africa to unite under one president, one currency

EFF chief Julius Malema desires African international locations to unite underneath one president, one parliament, one military, one foreign money, and with out borders.

He argued that such unity would make Africa stronger economically and extra highly effective than the US.

Malema delivered this message on Sunday whereas addressing delegates on the Nigerian Bar Affiliation annual normal convention in Enugu, Nigeria.

Malema: “A Divided Continent Stands to Lose”

He warned that the present division weakens Africa.

“We demand one Africa, a borderless Africa. We demand Africa with one president, with one foreign money, with one army command. One Parliament, as a result of we all know the foreign money of Africa shall be a lot stronger in opposition to the American foreign money,” he mentioned.

Malema criticised former US President Donald Trump for opposing his radical political opinions, together with his singing of the controversial Kill the Boer chant.

Trump argued the mantra incites violence in opposition to white farmers in South Africa, a declare each the EFF and the South African authorities denied.

“We don’t care what Trump thinks of us. He won’t ever select a coverage place for Africans. We should refuse to be topics of Trump,” Malema mentioned.

He added, “We should stand collectively because the world adjustments and present the world that Africa is one and equal to all nations to China, to Russia, to America.”

Africa as a Shining Continent

Malema rejected the notion of Africa as a “darkish continent.”

“We’re not only a small nation, and we’re an enormous nation. We’re not a darkish continent. How can we be darkish once we’ve received a diamond that’s shining amongst us? We’re a shining nation,” he mentioned.

The EFF chief referred to as for unity amongst Africans, saying they need to not kill each other.

“Africans should at all times be collectively in opposition to enemy forces who need to exploit our continent,” Malema mentioned.

Land and Minerals for Africans

Malema demanded that land and minerals in Africa be returned to Africans.

“We’re right here at present to reclaim our land. The land of Africa must be returned to Africa as a result of it belongs to the Africans,” he mentioned.

“Africans should reclaim the continent’s minerals as a result of they rightfully belong to us,”Malema concluded.
