Makhadzi criticised for working with DJ Maphorisa

South African musicians Makhadzi and DJ Maphorisa have each been having a tough week. Makhadzi has been embroiled in a heated battle together with her document label Open Mic. DJ Maphorisa was arrested and launched on bail after allegedly assaulting his superstar girlfriend Thulisile “DJ Thuli P” Phongolo.

It seems the pair have determined to vent out their frustrations out within the studio and make new music collectively. This doesn’t sit properly with Makhadzi’s followers who questioned her resolution to work with a person accused of GBV.

Earlier this week, Mzansi was shocked by the information that Thuli Phongolo had her boyfriend Maphorisa arrested for allegedly assaulting her.
