James DuBose’s In The Black Community (ITBN) is headed for Hollywood thanks partly to an enormous funding from Fab Manufacturing facility.

James DuBose’s In The Black Community (ITBN) is headed to Hollywood, thanks partly to an enormous funding from Fab Manufacturing facility.

Almost six months after launching ITBN, Fab Manufacturing facility has secured a majority stake within the community geared toward amplifying content material from Black creators. Particulars of the “main” deal are nonetheless underneath wraps amid information of ITBN’s transfer into Netflix’s outdated post-production studio in East Hollywood, through The Hollywood Reporter.

The three-story, 66,000-square-foot workplace and occasion facility is Fab Manufacturing facility’s headquarters and can now be shared with DuBose’s rising media platform. Exhibits on ITBN embrace Brutally Sincere with Jasmine Model, CheMinistry, The Rating and Value a Dialog with Jeezy, and unique programming highlighting all sides of Black tradition.

“James and his staff at In The Black have created a culturally necessary content material community for an viewers thirsty for programming that honors and elevates Black tradition,” Fab Manufacturing facility Co-CEOs Rebecca O’Hara and Steve Fabos mentioned in an announcement.

DuBose shared his pleasure to associate with the Fab Manufacturing facility staff, who he credit with supporting his firm mission since its October 2023 inception.

“From the start, Steve Fabos and Rebecca O’Hara have understood and supported my imaginative and prescient for In The Black Community,” he mentioned.

“Whereas their funding will assist notice the potential of our platform, what’s equally if no more precious is their real partnership.”

The funding comes on the heels of DuBose talking with BLACK ENTERPRISE about ITBN’s development and growth following his exit from Fox Soul final 12 months. Since launching In The Black Community, he has added to the platform with the onset of ITBN Africa.

“I’m making an attempt to construct In The Black to be our Black Tubi. To be a spot that, you don’t need to obtain 5 or 6 completely different Black apps to see Black content material,” DuBose informed BE.

“We would like you to come back to 1 place, and that’s internationally, that’s domestically, that’s U.S., that’s each market that you would consider, Caribbean, and so forth, to come back one place and keep.”
