Jackson State University’s Athletic Program Partners With Oikos to Encourage Healthy Eating Habits For Students

For a lot of of those that went to varsity, the expertise of scavenging to seek out inexpensive and low cost meals is all too acquainted. Sadly, these meals weren’t all the time nutritious. To assist mitigate the rise of unhealthy habits and supply higher choices for college kids, fashionable yogurt model Oikos is partnering with HBCU Jackson State College to pilot their initiative of serving traditionally marginalized communities.

“We all know diet, health and schooling are key instruments for college kids to get stronger, and thru our partnership with Jackson State College, Oikos will preserve and supply additional entry to nutritious meals that can encourage higher consuming habits to the scholars throughout the JSU athletic program. That is only the start.”

Over the previous few years, Jackson State College has been working to higher their establishment’s athletic division. The objective is to be of comparable caliber with applications throughout the nation. This new partnership additionally gives instruments for optimum diet, schooling and bodily health. By way of the success and effectivity of this collaboration, Oikos will department out to serve different HBCUs within the close to future.
