Howard University appoints Vincent Orange as CEO of Faculty Practice Plan

Vincent Orange Jr. is the brand new chief government officer of the Howard College College Apply Plan, succeeding Daffodil Baez, who grew to become president of Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Middle.

The College Apply Plan is Howard College’s doctor observe group, which helps the medical faculty and hospital with almost 130 docs throughout a number of specialties. Adventist HealthCare has overseen the observe via a administration settlement since 2023.

Orange joined as chief operations officer in 2023. He targeted on strengthening the observe’s infrastructure, together with stabilizing staffing, implementing pre-visit planning and creating nursing management positions.

The observe plans to open a brand new entry middle in early 2025 to streamline affected person appointments.

“I’m honored to steer the College Apply Plan, which serves the wants of Washington, D.C.’s group,” Orange mentioned.

Earlier than becoming a member of the observe, Orange was regional director for Robert Wooden Johnson Barnabas Well being, the place he managed an settlement with Rutgers Medical Group. He earned grasp’s levels in well being companies administration from George Washington College and in enterprise from Georgetown College.

His earlier management roles embody positions at MedStar Well being, GW Medical College Associates, College of Virginia Well being and Johns Hopkins Medication.

Aaron Cohen, president of Adventist HealthCare Doctor Enterprise, mentioned Orange “has a robust understanding of the native well being care market with deep connections in Washington, D.C.”

The College Apply Plan works intently with Howard College Faculty of Medication and Howard College Hospital to coach Black physicians whereas offering medical care to the group.

“A robust partnership between the College Apply Plan and Howard College Hospital is vital to strengthening each organizations,” Orange mentioned. “I’m excited to steer such a prestigious group in my hometown.”
