HBCU investigating band member who punched fan, then continued playing (video)

Texas Southern College is reportedly investigating a band member who punched a fan following an argument — after which returned to enjoying his instrument with out lacking a beat. 

The video went viral on Saturday in Jackson, Mississippi, when Jackson State hosted Texas Southern in an intercollegiate HBCU soccer sport.

Whereas the motion was on the gridiron between the Tigers and the Tigers (each soccer groups boast the identical nickname), the episode that basically captured urbanites’ consideration was the 10-15 seconds in the course of the altercation.

There isn’t a sound within the digicam video that’s educated on the Texas Southern College Ocean of Souls Marching Band member. In the meantime, the college vowed to research the incident and implement safety safeguards for future video games and band performances.

“Texas Southern College is conscious of an incident involving a member of the Ocean of Soul marching band throughout a latest away sport. The incident is underneath investigation,” a college consultant mentioned in a press release obtained by the New York Publish. “The College is implementing further measures to make sure the security of all band members throughout performances.”

The difficulty of pupil security has come to the forefront in latest weeks because of shootings and accidents at a number of HBCU homecoming occasions across the nation.
