Even famed civil rights legal professional Ben Crump weighed in and threatened authorized motion on one college’s behalf.

“Tennessee State College, y’all been swindled, y’all been cheated, y’all been bamboozled,” Crump stated.

Glenda Glover, Tennessee State’s president, put it merely: “This huge determine of over $2.1 billion can’t be missed.”

Tennessee’s Republican Gov. Invoice Lee took concern with the quantity that his state is alleged to owe, citing his state’s Workplace of Legislative Funds Evaluation calculation of $544 million at most.
