BLK Wants Black Women To ‘Free Your Crown’ In New Campaign

BLK needs you to “Free Your Crown” in an progressive marketing campaign to have a good time Black girls and pure hairstyles.

The social and relationship app for Black individuals introduced the marketing campaign on July 3, also referred to as Nationwide Crown Day. The daring initiative takes self-love to a brand new degree for Black girls, championing their pure curls and coils. In honor of their new #FreeYourCrown marketing campaign, BLK will sponsor the prices for Black girls’s pure hairstyles this summer time.

The marketing campaign stems from a cultural shift for Gen Z Black girls, opting to precise themselves wholeheartedly via their hair. Irrespective of the event or presentation, Black girls are ditching the self-doubt to rock their genuine type.

“Pure hair has at all times been a logo of confidence, individuality, and tradition. For therefore lengthy, Black girls have been made to really feel like they needed to change who they have been to be accepted. The marketing campaign won’t solely sponsor hair styling but in addition embody immersive engagements for others to hitch the trigger. BLK has launched a Pure Hair Social Name-to-Motion. Its function is to encourage BLK members to vary their profile pics on relationship apps to advertise their pure hairstyles.

The evolving relationship and social platform additionally established a BLK Magnificence Group Chat. The area permits girls within the BLK app to speak about all issues hair, love, and care.

The Free Your Crown marketing campaign comes at a time when protections just like the CROWN Act are gaining traction in addition to challenges.
