In a spontaneous interview for Welcome to the Tradition on Could 6, a Black girl says that ever since she stopped carrying wigs and began exhibiting off her pure hair, she’s been shocked by the variety of Black males complimenting her.
The interviewer requested, “How have the Black males been responding to your hair?”
She was excited to clarify that she’d been getting constructive, uplifting vibes from everybody within the video posted to Instagram. She stated, “Very positively, I used to be actually shocked. Even the youthful ones [would say] like ‘Sister, I like your hair. Preserve it like that. You look actually lovely,’ and I’m actually shocked.”
She continued to clarify that she was impressed to ask why they favored it since their supportive response to her change was sudden.
“So I requested them as soon as, ‘Why do you want this look? And so they stated, ‘It’s you, it’s your hair. It’s all of your hair. You don’t have any chemical compounds in it. You don’t have any pretend hair in it.’”
The interviewer was to know if the girl would ever take into account going again to carrying her hair straight or utilizing wigs. She instantly advised him no.
“Primary, cash, I must protect it. Quantity two, that is me. That is who I’m,” She answered. “ That is how I’m blissful. I’m at peace with myself. I’ve saved cash, and I’m at peace with myself. Now that I’ve my hair like this. I’m at peace with myself. Truthfully talking, I be ok with myself.”
She added a number of advantages to carrying her pure hair.
“I may go to the seaside. I can go within the water. I don’t have to fret about it getting nappy once more. It’s already like this [curly] that is it.”
