Ayo… you at risk, lady

Supply: A24

Golden Globe-winner Ayo Edebiri is coming into her Scream Queen period in A24’s newest buzzy Horror-Thriller Opus which follows a younger music author who’s invited to the distant compound of a legendary Pop star (John Malkovich) who mysteriously disappeared 30 years in the past.

Surrounded by the star’s cult of cronies and boozed up journalists, she finds herself caught up in the midst of his twisted plan.

Try the creepy trailer under:

Written/directed by Mark Anthony Inexperienced with authentic music co-written by thee Nile Rodgers and The-Dream, Opus additionally stars Juliette Lewis, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder, Stephanie Suganami, Younger Mazino, and Tatanka Means.

One among a number of must-see Horror motion pictures releasing this March, Opus marks A24’s newest Black woman-led Horror movie simply months after Brandy confronted off towards her monstrous mother-in-law (Kathryn Hunter) within the very, uh, attention-grabbing Thriller-Chiller The Entrance Room (now streaming on Max).

“It scared me, so I wished to do one thing like Belinda [her character in the film] to see if I might pull it off, to see if I can develop my vary as an actress, my depth,” she stated in an interview with PEOPLE. “And I wished to work with [filmmakers] Sam and Max Eggers, and Kathryn Hunter …She’s such an exceptional actress. I wished to have the ability to react to her and keep as current as doable.”
