Tapping Saucy Santana because the inaugural ambassador simply made sense for the model. He lives his life unapologetically and overcomes adversity every day as a dark-skinned female homosexual man in hip hop. However by no means fear, Santana isn’t embarrassed or ashamed to be himself always.

The pioneering Gen Z cosmetics model, identified for its dedication to illustration, inclusivity, and variety, is thrilled to have its first-ever celeb ambassador. EBONY spoke extra with the rapper about this newest accomplishment in his profession.

EBONY: What introduced in regards to the partnership?

Saucy Santana: With me being a part of the LGBTQIA+ group and thread magnificence being each an ally and a Black-owned, female-run magnificence model, this partnership was a win-win for everybody. Seeing that earlier than I used to be rapping, I used to be doing make-up, being an envoy with thread magnificence additionally feels prefer it’s bringing me again to my roots. It’s enjoyable and funky to collaborate with a make-up firm that’s enthusiastic about me, and I’m enthusiastic about their model, and dealing collectively sooner or later.

Once I first began doing make-up, even on YouTube, there wasn’t anybody that seemed like me that I may reference and be taught from. It’s additionally actually essential to me to be an instance, and have a optimistic impression on my group—for the wonder boys and everybody that loves magnificence. As we speak, I’ve much more supporters that appear to be me, for instance, boys which have facial hair, a fade or full glam. This partnership can hopefully encourage them and characterize what’s doable. Like I’m out right here residing my finest life and here is an instance of how you are able to do it too!

How outdated have been you whenever you first obtained into make-up?

I might say I used to be 17. My mother was a Mary Kay magnificence advisor, so I used to steal her make-up at any time when I may and observe. I used to be fully self-taught as a result of I discovered, on the time, YouTube tutorials didn’t assist. Additionally, I needed to be taught for my face, get into the sector, and be taught by trial and error.

What do you want carrying extra gloss or lipstick?

Is dependent upon the day and depends upon the event. thread magnificence’s ‘gloss it’ is considered one of my favorites.

Do you put on make-up every day or solely on particular events?

Principally just for particular events and occasions.

What does a standard beat appear to be for you? Do you go the pure route or go all out?

A traditional beat for me is full glam. I’m not a giant fan of coloration, so brown eyeshadows and a nude lip is my go-to look. I’ve to have my nostril pinched like the attractive Ok Michelle. I like beaming, iridescent highlighters. So, I might say, full glam, with minimal coloration, is my go-to look.

As we speak, I’m stepping out of my consolation zone, having enjoyable with thread magnificence. It’s 1 pm and I’ve a full face on together with blue eyeliner.
