Zenande Mfenyana wins first SAFTA for ‘Inimba’

South African actress Zenande Mfenyana has reached a serious milestone in her appearing profession.

The star just lately gained her first award on the South African Movie and Tv Awards (SAFTA). The awards ceremony befell on Saturday, 14 March 2026. It was held on the Gallagher Conference Centre.

Mfenyane gained the award for Greatest Supporting Actress in a Telenovela. She acquired the honour for her position as Thumeka Mabandla within the TV sequence Inimba, season 1.

ZENANDE’S FIRST NOMINATION AFTER NEARLY TWO DECADES

Mfenyana was first nominated for a SAFTA on Tuesday, 17 February 2026. The nomination alone was already an enormous achievement in her lengthy profession.

In a video shared on TikTok by leisure commentator Goodwill Thomo, Mfenyana spoke about what the nomination meant to her. She described it as a proud second, having devoted years to the trigger.

“I’m fairly, fairly satisfied at myself, and it’s an enormous nod from the business,” Zenanade mentioned within the clip.

“Nineteen years within the business and that is my first nomination. It simply says that I’m heading in the right direction and doing the issues that have to be finished.”

For Mfenyana, the night time turned much more particular. It marked each her first nomination and her first SAFTA win.
