*A YouTube stands wholeheartedly with India.Arie’s latest feedback questioning the abundance of twerking happening on the latest Essence Pageant by performers Megan Thee Stallion and Janelle Monáe.
OkayPlayer reported that Megan invited 20 attendees to hitch her onstage for a twerk session (see video above), whereas Monáe flashed her nipple coated breast to the viewers.
After Essence shared a video of Monae’s on stage with the caption, “Sizzling lady boot camp was in full impact final night time. It’s @janellemonae with the encouragement for us,” Arie wrote within the remark part that Monae’s actions had been counterintuitive to the competition’s feminine empowerment message.
