Woman Dragged From Staten Island Deli By Hair Files Lawsuit

A 35-year-old lady mistaken for a trans lady has filed a lawsuit towards the proprietor/s of a Staten Island deli the place she tried to cop weed earlier than being brutally assaulted. 

On Oct. 9, Jasmine Adams sought compensatory and punitive damages within the swimsuit filed with New York’s Supreme Court docket from the proprietor/s of the West Brighton Deli Grocery Corp. She alleged {that a} now-former male worker used hate language due to her sexual orientation and attacked her bodily on the night time of July 28. Within the lawsuit, she said that the person referred to her as a “transvestite.” 

Jasmine is overtly bisexual.

The alleged assault occurred when Jasmine tried to legally buy weed for a pal on the Staten Island bodega. The sufferer, who doesn’t smoke, checked along with her pal to make sure the unidentified individual needed the $40 bundle of weed. The West Brighton Deli bodega clerk thought Jasmine was haggling the worth and have become agitated. The worker threw the bag of marijuana on the ground. 

The 35-year-old lady determined to get a refund after the disrespect, which incensed the person. An argument ensued, and Jasmine mentioned she needed the worker fired, and he threatened to name the cops on her. She demanded the $40 again, and the bodega clerk referred to as her a “tranvestite.” The unidentified man additionally sprayed her with mace earlier than allegedly assaulting her. 

Video footage detailed the worker manhandling Jasmine whereas a crowd gathered outdoors the entrance of the shop. He allegedly dragged the 35-year-old buyer out of the institution by her braids, leaving her on the curb and kicking her within the face. 

Onlookers reacted to the alleged assault, yelling on the man that he had taken the state of affairs too far. Sporting a basketball jersey, tee shirt and denims, the deli employee casually returned to the shop after the alleged assault.

“Oh my God…. you don’t should do all that,” a feminine witness mentioned within the video.

The worker reportedly remains to be employed at West Brighton Deli. He was additionally by no means arrested or charged with against the law. Jasmine described the ordeal as “malicious and emotionally” damaging.
