White South Carolina Woman Followed, Pointed Gun at Black Newspaper Delivery Driver Because She Believed Worker Was Staking Out Neighborhood and ‘Didn’t Belong There’

A South Carolina lady was arrested after being accused of pointing a gun at a Black newspaper supply driver. 

Legislation enforcement stated Mary Holmes, who’s white, was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm in connection to final week’s incident. When chatting with police, Holmes stated she pulled out her weapon on the sufferer “out of worry for her life,” the Publish and Courier and Fox Carolina Information reported.

The driving force, recognized as a Black lady, was making deliveries in Spartanburg early within the morning on Sept. 6 at about 2:30 a.m., per the stories.

The sufferer noticed Holmes eyeballing her whereas she was making her dropoffs, in line with the stories citing the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Workplace. When the lady was about to go away the realm, Holmes approached her, asking if she wanted assist. She reportedly turned her down and informed her “no.”

Per the shops, the lady accused Holmes of following her and confronting her once more. This time, Holmes allegedly discharged a gun and pointed it in her route.

Holmes’ associate additionally referred to as 911 to tell them about her following the lady. She informed police that she was frightened after seeing the supply driver’s automobile, which “didn’t belong there.” Her neighbor lately skilled a break-in, the shops reported.

Final month, a lady was caught on digicam verbally attacking a Black postal employee in Missouri. In an explosive rant, she yelled on the worker, saying that she was not “equal” and used a racist time period towards the employee.
