A Black Florida man says he’s afraid to return to work after a white man threatened to hold him throughout a racist tirade.
Challenge supervisor Antavis Johnson stated he was “simply doing his job” this week when he knocked on a pair’s door close to Orlando, Florida, the place he was chased and assailed with racial slurs and violent threats.

He was going door-to-door to offer residents handouts in regards to the upcoming utility upgrades within the neighborhood he could be overseeing. However when he knocked on his final door for the day, he was met with displeasure.
“The spouse opened it, and I may inform instantly she was upset. I politely stated, ‘I’m so sorry if this isn’t time,’” Johnson recalled.
Johnson stated the lady known as her husband, who got here operating out of the home and demanded that he depart the property.
“Earlier than I may even step off their porch, he began screaming the N-word at me, yelling, ‘Get off my property! Get out of my neighborhood!’” stated Johnson, who recorded the confrontation.
Johnson posted the video on his TikTok web page with background music. Although Johnson walks away from the property, the couple follows him down the road.
“Oh, he stated he’s recording,” the white lady is heard saying.
White man: F-ck you.
White lady: That’s proper, report me.
White man: Get your Black ass out of right here, motherf——r, cease listening. Get your Black ass out of right here. Get fucked up… Get your f—king ass beat, motherf—ker, get the f—ok out of right here, report that sh-t, come again collectively. I’ll f—king dangle your a– now.
White lady: I hope you present your employers, present your employers, as a result of that is what your workers do.
White man: Dumb fucking n—ger, there’s no reality, and get your Black ass the fuck out of right here.
Johnson posted one other video the place he’s seemingly speaking to police officer who tells him “no crime was dedicated.”
“I used to be terrified for my life. I’ve a 4-year-old daughter to deal with, and since this occurred, I haven’t been in a position to deliver myself to return to work,” Johnson stated. “That concern lives in me now. I by no means imagined I’d be threatened and attacked with hate only for doing my job.”
