Warnock says the objective of the laws, the Appraisal Modernization Act, is to battle appraisal bias within the nation, particularly in Georgia. The act can educate Georgians with knowledge that may hopefully improve transparency whereas empowering shoppers.

Senators Angela Alsobrooks (D-Maryland), Cory Booker (D-New Jersey), Andy Kim (D-New Jersey), Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Delaware), and Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) have co-sponsored the Appraisal Modernization Act.

The laws is private to Warnock, a local of Savannah.
