Actress, producer and multi-award recipient Viola Davis has been named the Cecil B. DeMille Award honoree for 2025, which will probably be offered through the Golden Globes Awards present on Jan. 5.
“Presenting her with the 2025 Cecil B. DeMille Award shouldn’t be solely an honor however a mirrored image of our admiration for her relentless dedication to her craft and her monumental impression on the trade,” stated Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes.
First created in 1952 commemorating the legacy of the dignity’s namesake, a celebrated actor and director, the Cecil B. DeMille Award has been bestowed on 69 honorees. DeMille is taken into account to be the founding father of Hollywood.
