US scholarship for underserved students at historically Black colleges paused

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal scholarship aimed toward boosting college students from underserved and rural areas attending traditionally Black schools and universities has been placed on maintain.

The U.S. Division of Agriculture suspended the 1890 Students Program, which supplied recipients with full tuition and charges for college kids finding out agriculture, meals or pure useful resource sciences at considered one of 19 universities, referred to as the 1890 land grant establishments.
