A College president collapsed on stage earlier than finally dying on Sept. 19. JoAnne A. Epps, the performing president at Temple College, turned sick at a memorial service, the varsity introduced.
Epps was on stage and scheduled to talk at a memorial service for Charles Blockson, a Black historian and author who died at 89 in June. The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Epps slumped in her chair shortly after the occasion started. She was then carried out by an officer after an announcer requested if there was a physician within the constructing.
Epps was taken to Temple College Hospital, the place she was pronounced useless. She was 72.

On Sept. 20, Temple held a vigil on campus for Epps, who labored on the college for practically 40 years.
