Issues about property security have heightened after TSA brokers had been arrested for conspiring to steal from passengers as they journeyed by safety checkpoints on the Miami Worldwide Airport.
Three brokers from the Transportation Safety Administration had been apprehended after surveillance cameras caught the trio reportedly organizing the theft of passengers. In a single occasion, the three allegedly stole $600 from one passenger’s pockets, based on ABC affiliate WPLG Native 10.
Josue Gonzalez, 20, Elizabeth Fuster, 22, and Labarrius Williams, 33, had been arrested on Thursday July 6 at MIA and charged with organized scheme to defraud, Miami-Dade jail information confirmed.
A probe was launched after a number of complaints to airport police about thefts at Checkpoint E, the place the three TSA brokers had been ultimately caught.
