The Wrap-Up! Dance Theatre of Harlem Gala, Randy Savvy and Compton Cowboy, ‘Sneaks’ Cast

The Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) hosted its annual Imaginative and prescient Gala at New York Metropolis Middle and the Ziegfeld Ballroom earlier this month. Ford Basis President Darren Walker was honored with the Arthur Mitchell Imaginative and prescient Award, introduced by filmmaker and producer Ava DuVernay. The evening exceeded its aim of elevating $1.3 million to help its creative endeavors.

The night highlighted Mustard and composer Terrace Martin. Hosts Kendall Hurns (Arte Haus Studios) and Modi Oyewole (Swang) welcomed friends right into a soundtrack‑pushed area the place DJ units from Drew Byrd, Osh Kosh and Soulection’s Olea flowed all through the night, whereas basic New York chopped‑cheese sandwiches grounded the festivities within the movie’s uptown roots.
