The Sixth Annual International Women of Power Luncheon

*On Sunday, August twenty seventh, the Sixth Annual Worldwide Girls of Energy Luncheon was held on the Sheraton Grand in Downtown Los Angeles. The occasion spotlighted exceptional girls and celebrated their distinctive contributions to numerous fields.

Organized by Ghanaian-American media government Koshie Mills, founder and government producer of Heirs Of Afrika, the luncheon gathered a powerful array of worldwide Black girls who’re change brokers and thought leaders in leisure, trend, magnificence, movie, and enterprise.

Koshie Mills, the driving pressure behind the occasion, expressed her pleasure for creating an area the place sisters from all over the world might come collectively to have a good time their excellence and glory. The occasion echoed the African Renaissance, connecting the Diaspora in an genuine and empowering method.

“We’ve all these fantastic honorees who’re simply shaking up the world. They form it, they’re good, they’re dynamic, and so they’re good representations. So I’m excited for every part; we’ve an amazing program for right this moment,” stated Koshie Mills.

Loni Love, Emmy Award-winning comic and actress, returned because the host for the elegant affair. She opened the present with native drummers and a fascinating dance routine. The awards ceremony was a celebration of sisterhood and the achievements of fantastic girls. The luncheon featured a three-course meal, reside performances by rapper Yo-Yo and Caribbean songstress Thamara Songbird, and awards displays that acknowledged the honorees’ excellent contributions to their respective fields.

“That is my third 12 months internet hosting. I by no means get uninterested in seeing the gorgeous outfits, [and the] praising of our sisters. I simply need to thank Koshie Mills, our founding father of Heirs of Afrika. The occasion was graced by a lineup of honorees, every being celebrated for his or her distinctive achievements. Dr. Yolanda “Yo-Yo” Whitaker, an iconic rapper, acquired the Music Royalty “NSAA” Award. Tina Lifford, identified for her function in Queen Sugar, was honored with the Warrior “ADINKRAHENE” Award. Arsema Thomas, who portrayed Queen Charlotte, was introduced with the Rising Star “NYANSAPO” Award. Sadé Muhammad, Chief Advertising and marketing Officer at Time Journal, acquired the Lionheart Enterprise “AKOFENA” Award. The Goddess Magnificence “DUAFE” Award went to Sonia Tucker, a mannequin and influencer. Hamamat Monita, a philanthropist and entrepreneur, acquired the Heirs Of Afrika “SANKOFA” Award. Lastly, Marielle Bobo, Editor In Chief and SVP of Ebony Journal, was honored with the Media Titan “DAME-DAME” Award.

The presence of esteemed presenters and attendees additional added to the occasion’s attract. Celebrities comparable to Juliet Ibrahim, Osas Ighodaro, Kim Roxie, Claire Sulmers, and Chelsea Lazkani took the stage to honor the excellent achievements of the recipients.

The Sixth Annual Worldwide Girls of Energy Luncheon captured the essence of black excellence, empowerment, and sisterhood. Attendees loved the elegant occasion, the scrumptious meals, free makeovers sponsored by Black Radiance, and an afterparty on the rooftop of the Sheraton Grand. It was an honor to be within the room and have a good time the achievements of exceptional girls who proceed to pave the way in which for future generations.
