Texas A&M University Settles Lawsuit for $1M with Black Professor Not Hired with Tenure After Pushback from Conservatives

Texas A&M College reached a $1 million settlement within the lawsuit filed by a progressive Black professor the school failed to rent with tenure after receiving objections from conservatives.

Kathleen McElroy and Texas A&M introduced the settlement on Aug. 3.

Interim president of Texas A&M Mark Welsh apologized to the professor following the settlement’s announcement and famous that Dr. McElroy was a graduate of the college.
