Supa Group 4 is ready to burst onto Netflix on 20 July 2023 as the worldwide streaming service’s first African animation sequence.

NETFLIX’S FIRST AFRICAN ANIMATION SERIES ‘SUPA TEAM 4’ IS HERE!

Created by Zambian author Malenga Mulendema – with South African animation studio Triggerfish and main London-based youngsters’ leisure specialist CAKE as producers and animation from Superprod Animation in France – the eight-part sequence celebrates the continent’s dynamic storytelling and showcases the energy, intelligence and bravado inside all younger folks.

4 unsuspecting schoolgirls suppose they’re on their approach to detention, however as a substitute, a fantastical journey awaits them as they shed their college uniforms and remodel into magnificent superheroes.

Up in opposition to devious villains, the fierce foursome finds themselves on the centre of an epic battle to avoid wasting their beloved metropolis, Lusaka. With luck and an unbreakable friendship, the ladies steadiness superhero duties, doing chores and ending their homework!

MEET THE CAST

Unimaginable African abilities, together with John Kani, Pamela Nomvete, Zowa Ngwira, Namisa Mdlalose, Nancy Sekhokoane and Sparky Xulu voice the action-filled animation. Worldwide voice actors John MacMillan and Kimani Arthur full the spectacular expertise lineup. 

Zambian rapper, singer and songwriter Sampa the Nice graces the sequence together with her musical brilliance, singing the present’s theme tune. Supa Group 4 is dubbed in isiZulu and the voice behind Mama Okay is actress Linda Sokhulu.

2. Zee (Zikomo) Phiri (Voiced by Nancy Sekhokoane)

Superhero Title: Za-Mpezi

About her: Athletic, brainy and industrious 

 3. Komana Mwinga (Voiced by Zowa Ngwira) 

Superhero Title: Okay-Bongo

About her: Good, organised and inventive

4. Monde Wamunyima (Voiced by Namisa Mdlalose) 

Superhero Title: M-Kozo

About her: Bodily sturdy, clever and calm
