Sudan’s generals agree to meet in efforts to end their devastating war, a regional bloc says

CAIRO (AP) — Sudan’s warring generals agreed to carry a face-to-face assembly as a part of efforts to ascertain a cease-fire and provoke political talks to finish the nation’s devastating struggle, an African regional bloc stated Dec. 10.

Sudan slipped into chaos after hovering tensions between navy chief Gen. Abdel-Fattah Burhan and Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, commander of the paramilitary Speedy Assist Forces, exploded into open preventing in mid-April within the capital, Khartoum, and elsewhere throughout the nation.
