Singer Steve Hofmeyr has devoted his new music Oranje to Afrikaner South Africans, also referred to as the Boer.
The outspoken entertainer has been vocal about his advocacy for the group, significantly in current weeks. This follows the criticism of Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump, who accused the SA authorities of selling “racial discrimination.”
STEVE HOFMEYR RELEASES SONG DEDICATED TO AFRIKANERS
On Friday, 21 February – which is well known as Worldwide Mom Tongue Day – Steve Hofmeyr launched Oranje, devoted to his fellow Afrikaner South Africans.
He shared of the music on X: “We’re Boers, we’re Afrikaners, we have now no id disaster regardless of being despised since 1901. Our solely (distinctive) sin is that we’re an acute minority. And our blood has a tint of orange…”
In a prolonged Fb put up, Steve Hofmeyr revealed that the music was a proud illustration of the Afrikaans group.
“Could the world know of us, a small, void minority..Orange is our color, our blood too”.
To non-speaking Afrikaans South Africans, Steve added: “Be taught from us. And if you’ll, envy our fearlessness, our humanity…”’
WHAT IS SIGNIFICANCE OF THE COLOUR ORANGE?
Whereas many imagine the color orange is a reminder of the previous Apartheid flag, and even the whites-only city of Orania – it’s really related to the Solidarity Commerce Union and the Solidarity Motion.
The organisation – which based the unbiased initiative AfriForum – promotes Afrikaner tradition and heritage and the pursuits of the group.
The motion has over half 1,000,000 members.
