SoCal Black Workers Hub Presents 2nd Annual Black August Celebration, Aug. 13  – Los Angeles Sentinel

Black August, a nationwide commemoration of Black resistance and solidarity, is acknowledged by the SoCal Black Employees Hub with a celebration highlighting Black staff causes, fellowship, and ancestral satisfaction. The SoCal Black Employee Hub (SCBWH) and the organizations’ California Black Employee Outreach Venture (CWOP) will host the twond annual “Black August: A Commemoration & Celebration” on Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 5:30 p.m. to –8:30 p.m., at The Gathering Spot, positioned at 5211 W. Adams Blvd., in Los Angeles.  ,  

Thea free occasion containswith foods and drinks, music, and shows by all sectors of Black labor and its supporters. 

This system will start by honoring ancestral connections with drumming by members of the  Earthlodge Middle for Transformation, adopted by a spoken phrase efficiency by Grammy-nominated poet Sekou Andrews.
