Shar Jossell is Rewriting the Script On Her Own Terms – Los Angeles Sentinel

When she took over as NABJ-LA president final August, it was about restoring a legacy and persevering with to evolve the Affiliation’s presence in Los Angeles.  Now in her second 12 months of a two-year time period, she’s centered on community-building and mentorship by creating occasions the place Black journalists can join and assist each other.

“Los Angeles, for all of its blessings, may be an extremely lonely metropolis. Neighborhood is what retains me afloat,” she stated, reinforcing the necessity to construct areas the place professionals can thrive.

With recognition from Spotify, Curve Journal, and Cultured, Shar has already made her mark, however she’s simply getting began.
