Scrappy Talks Childhood Trauma From Momma Dee Being A Pimp

Love & Hip Hop star Scrappy simply acquired extra candid than ever about his disturbing and heartbreaking childhood whereas his mom, Momma Dee, was a pimp. 

Scrappy defined that he knew about his mom’s line of labor from a really early age throughout Half 1 of his Actuality With the King interview, revealed Sept. 27. The rapper informed host Carlos King that he grew up in a “lure home” the place intercourse employees always went out and in. 

“Hoes needed to fuck in my room and in my sister’s room. So we needed to sleep with my momma,” Scrappy recalled. “I used to be grateful that she didn’t make us sleep in [our rooms], however we’d go in there and watch TV and stuff in the course of the weekend when ain’t shit happening.” The latest divorcee defined that the rooms could be cleaned, however drug straws laid round the home.

“These have been like my play aunties and uncles ’trigger I grew up round them,” Scrappy stated of the intercourse employees and their johns. “They might be there… They have been those who cooked for us, cleaned for us, [that we] sat up and talked to each day.”

The rapper shared that even when adults who weren’t his mom tried to implement self-discipline, he knew he’d be free to do no matter he happy as soon as medicine began flowing. Different mentions of his childhood included Momma Dee egging him on to drink alcohol at 16 when he began smoking weed at 12, and when he began promoting medicine as an adolescent. 

 

Scrappy smiled and even laughed whereas speaking about all of the aforementioned childhood trauma he endured. That stated, the rapper hasn’t all the time stored his cool whereas addressing the toxicity of his previous, his mother’s function as a pimp and rising up in a lure home. 

Throughout an August 2022 episode of Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta, Scrappy exploded on Momma Dee as he mirrored on his childhood and the way that baggage negatively impacted his marriage to Bambi.

“You understand why I’m like how I’m along with her?” Scrappy requested Momma Dee about his relationship with Bambi. “I noticed your life-style. I grew up in a whorehouse — I grew up in a lure home. So all I knew was that.”

The Atlanta native informed his mom that she raised him to “take care of that shit,” and now he nonetheless struggles to bear the load of his childhood trauma. 

“Trigger ain’t no one come and take me to get no assist. Ain’t no one acquired me no assist. I discovered about that after I acquired older,” stated the daddy of three.

“This shit actual, this [has been] in my head my complete life,” Scrappy emotionally emphasised. “The shit I’m going by way of — I can’t even go to her [Bambi], she arduous. I can’t go to you, you arduous.”
