Everybody who made love the night time earlier than
was strolling round with flashing pink lights
on high of their heads-a white-haired previous gents,
a red-faced schoolboy, a pregnant girl
who smiled at me from throughout the road
and gave just a little secret shrug,
as if the flashing pink mild on her head
was a small worth to pay for what she knew.
