Born on July 1, 1942, in Los Angeles, Sandra and her brother Andraé emerged from a deeply rooted musical and ministerial household. Collectively, they launched into a musical journey, forming The COGICS within the Sixties, mixing their abilities with church influences.
Whereas Andraé fashioned Andraé Crouch & The Disciples, Sandra carved her path as a sought-after percussionist in Hollywood, contributing to iconic albums resembling The Jackson 5’s “I Need You Again” and Janis Joplin’s “Pearl.”
Within the Seventies, Sandra joined forces along with her brother, enriching gospel music with hits like “Jesus Is the Reply.” Their collaborative efforts prolonged to supporting Michael Jackson and dealing on acclaimed movie soundtracks.
