The South African Nationwide Defence Power (SANDF) has launched the names of troopers who had been killed throughout a fierce conflict with the March 23 Motion in Goma, japanese Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Final Saturday, the defence power confirmed the deaths of the SA troops.
SANDF NAMES SOLDIERS KILLED IN DRC
The South African beforehand reported that 9 SANDF members had been killed throughout a conflict when the M23 insurgent group wished to take over Goma.
Simply days after the incident, the M23 rebels launched a number of mortar bombs within the route of Goma Airport, which landed within the SANDF base, and this resulted within the SANDF dropping three members. Two members who had been injured through the incident sadly died in hospital, bringing the dying toll to 14.

SANDF spokesperson Siphiwe Dlamini stated the fallen troopers had been a part of the protection power’s contingent deployed to the area as a part of each the Southern African Improvement Neighborhood Mission within the DRC (SAMIDRC) and the United Nations Organisation Stabilisation Mission within the DRC (MONUSCO).
“They displayed extraordinary braveness of their confrontation with the M23 rebels who had attacked their base in Sake,” Dlamini stated.
In the meantime, the Minister of Defence and Army Veterans Angie Motshekga and SANDF Chief Basic Rudzani Maphwanya have despatched their condolences to the households of the deceased.

In the meantime, the Limpopo authorities has postponed the deliberate visits to the households of the deceased troopers.
Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba was scheduled to steer visits to varied villages within the province on Sunday, 2 February.
