Salute HER Awards 2024: ‘Women Creating A Legacy’

Salute Her Awards 2024 recipients

*(Harlem, NY) — In its 14th celebratory yr, the nationally syndicated Café Mocha radio present’s Salute HER Awards 2024 shined a light-weight on Black ladies who’ve made historical past and have excelled past odds in honor of Ladies’s Historical past Month. The sold-out occasion befell on the historic Alhambra Ballroom in Harlem, NY just lately.

Hosted by Café Mocha co-hosts Angelique Perrin and hip-hop icon Yo-Yo with popular culture icon Jawn Murray, the night was handled to an distinctive musical efficiency by Grammy-Award-winning duo Louis York.

The esteemed group of seven honorees contains: Ann Tripp, information icon and information director at WBLS-FM and the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Present, who was the recipient of the Broadcast Legacy Award; DeDe McGuire, nationwide media character, philanthropist, and host of the nationally-syndicated “DeDe In The Morning Present”, was the recipient of the Media Innovator Award; Melba Moore, Legendary singer, and award-winning actress, was the recipient of the Legend Award; Flo Anthony, famed superstar journalist, was the recipient of the Media Legend Award; Alicia Reece, Hamilton County Fee President and founding father of the Cincinnati Black Music Stroll of Fame, was the recipient of the Creating the Legacy Award; Jotaka Eaddy, widely-respected social influence activist, was the recipient of the Champion for Change Award; Melba Wilson, well-known Harlem restauranteur and founding father of Melba’s, was the recipient of the Enterprise Legacy Award.

Night dinner opened with a prayer led by Cheryl Polote-Williamson, 2019 Salute Her Award honoree and CEO of Cheryl Polote Williamson, LLC. Every honoree gave touching and inspirational acceptance speeches that captured the true essence of the mission of the Salute HER Awards to encourage others and make a distinction of their respective fields.

There have been numerous notables within the room corresponding to the previous legendary NAACP Nationwide President and present President of the NAACP New York State chapter. Hazel Nell Dukes, 91, who was given her flowers as a number of honorees expressed their gratitude for her long-time dedication, to preventing for equality and combating injustice.

“The aim of the Salute HER Awards is to carry collectively ladies to collaborate and encourage each other by the journey of our honorees. The night was already so memorable however having Hazel Dukes current made it historic” says Sheila Eldridge, CEO & Founding father of Miles Forward Leisure & Broadcasting.

The Salute HER Awards helps the Mocha Cares Basis whose mission is to offer households in shelters with transitional housing help to help go to www.mochacaresfoundation.org.
