SA asks Zim for water as Limpopo floods wash away pumps

South African border officers at Beitbridge have turned to the native municipality for water provides after flooding from the swollen Limpopo River destroyed their pumps 3 times.

The request comes as Beitbridge Municipality faces its water challenges, together with mounting money owed and provide disruptions, in line with Newsday.

Beitbridge city clerk, Loud Ramakgapola, disclosed the event throughout a latest water disaster assembly with stakeholders. He acknowledged that the municipality is contemplating reviving an previous pipeline to provide water to the South African border, a transfer that might generate much-needed income.

Ramakgapola talked about that two officers from the South African border had visited his workplace earlier final week. They’d requested the resumption of water provides. He famous that there was an current pipeline that may very well be reactivated and emphasised the pressing want for income.
