Rising Unemployment Among African-Americans Signals Economic Warning

The newest employment information reveals a troubling pattern that economists are calling an early warning signal for the broader financial system. Black unemployment reached 7.2% in July 2025, a pointy improve from 6.3% only one 12 months in the past and considerably larger than the nationwide common of 4.2%.
